The Distress Centre Peel is a registered non-profit organization helping our community through providing caring and non-judgemental support for our citizens of all ages and ethnicities.

Everyone. From our beginnnings in 1974, approximately 2% of the Distress Centre's calls came from people suffering from mental or emotional illnesses ranging from depression to irrational behaviour.

Today, more than 33% of all our calls are of this nature. For many such callers we are their only source of daily support. That leaves 77% of callers who are ordinary people just like you who are trying to make it by.
